The Mith'Ældon (Our family who follow the stone's light) also known as grey, mountain or stone elves, are native to Mith'Taern and are seen as the most regal of elves, yet also the most arrogant and distrustful of outsiders. The lineage of all grey elves can be traced back to a single individual, Peralas The Pale, one of the 23 survivors of the War of Wings. Their culture primarily values intellectual capabilities and as a result, tend to be physically weaker than other elves. They most often choose to live in isolated mountain strongholds, and rarely allow access to outsiders, although are not uncommon in Thessan's metropolitan areas.
During The Tarnishing of the Cele'Ældon the cities of Mith'Taern took in hundreds of Silver Elf refugees and protected them from Copper Elves and Drow.
Grey Elves average several inches taller than gold elves with both men and women often standing over 6 feet. Their skin colour is much colder than their gold elf cousins and they generally have dark hair that shines with bright streaks of blue or violet in direct sunlight. Often their skin or hair will have tints of grey, blue or purple. Their eyes tend to be the same color as their hair but occasionally grey elves will have a trait indicating a Silver elf ancestor such as bright silver eyes or streaks of lighter hair. Grey elves prefer to wear clothes of white, silver, black and blue, and usually wear regally colored cloaks of blue or purple.
These traits are in addition to the Elven traits found in the players handbook.
