The Minotaur was a powerful creature who led an army of gnolls that tormented the Helmstadt Valley in 294 IV. It was the bearer of the Ring of Havar Del that as sought by a number of people including the cult of Vis, Jodando Legault and his party.
In 294 IV, a party of adventurers lead by the Forest Folk warrior Na'Azel-leth confronted the minotaur. The first blow from Na'Azel-leth's warblade nearly felled the creature. The counter attack critically hit and slew Na'Azel-leth in a single blow. The mortally wounded minotaur attempted to flee, but was hunted down by the party. The ring was recovered and sold to the cult of Vis for an astonishing price.
The horns of the minotaur were fashioned into 6 cups by Erin Greenwood and given to her companions to commemorate their triumph and loss of their friend. One was entombed with Na'Azel-leth in the Temple of Danu.
